JOINT BARGAINING BULLETIN #8
Dear Sisters and Brothers:
We met with the Company for continued negotiations on May 9, 2016.
The Union pointed out the results of our strike vote and began outlining in detail the rationale and background for our proposals related to contracting out and improving working conditions.
Talks continued throughout the day and we began to see some movement from the Company however we are not yet there in terms of acceptable positions on these issues. There are also a number of other items remaining to be worked through.
To that end, we have agreed to continue negotiations with the Company on May 26, 2016 and will keep our members updated after that session.
We are determined to take the time needed to ensure that the contract meets the needs of our members and thank you for your ongoing patience and support as we move through the process.
